The "Ben Omar Djilani" Public Hospital in El Oued has successfully conducted its first-ever laparoscopic nephrectomy. The surgical procedure was performed on a patient suffering from chronic total kidney failure and severe swelling. A specialized medical team, consisting of urology surgeons, a general surgeon, and an anesthesiologist, supported by paramedical staff, oversaw the operation. The hospital administration commended the success of this first-of-its-kind medical procedure within their facility.
