The eighth edition of the prestigious Assia Djebar Grand Prix for literature took place at the Abdelatif-Rahal International Conference Center, centered on the theme "In memory, the roots of tomorrow." Held under the auspices of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and organized by ANEP, the event celebrated literary achievement across three languages. Sarah Mohamed Maariche won for her Arabic novel "Er’rafraf," Farida Sahoui received the award for her Amazigh work "Aggus," and Hosni Kitouni was honored for his French novel "Ce que la mort m’a pris de toi." A ten-member expert jury, led by Hakim Miloud, selected the winners. This edition also unveiled a new official trophy, which will be awarded in future installments of this prize, established in 2015 to honor the legacy of the writer Assia Djebar.
