The municipality of Tessala Lemtaï in Mila province has seen the resumption of commercial activity at its weekly market, which had been closed since 1993. Following a formal decision by local authorities, the market located at Mechta Draa El Djarniz has reopened, much to the satisfaction of local residents. On its first day, the "Thursday Market" attracted a large number of vendors selling livestock and fresh agricultural produce. To further stimulate the local economy, authorities have also designated Saturdays for the sale of used cars. This project is intended to boost trade in the mountainous border region, create job opportunities for youth, and generate financial revenue for the municipality to fund future development projects.
