Hebron under siege: Two thousand Palestinians displaced amid rising military tensions
Hebron is facing an intensified military siege, with Israeli forces displacing over 2,000 residents from their homes. Military operations in the Jalda and Ain Deir Bahah areas have resulted in the demolition of houses as well as industrial and commercial facilities. Entrances to the city and neighboring villages remain sealed, raising local fears of a potential scenario similar to recent events in Jenin. The Israeli military stated that it has conducted operations across 40 villages and 400 sites in the occupied West Bank, leading to dozens of arrests. Palestinian authorities have issued urgent appeals for international intervention to address the humanitarian crisis and end the forced displacement.
