Tiaret: Agriculture Minister launches sowing campaign and grain storage project

During a working visit to Tiaret, the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries officially launched the 2026-2027 sowing season. A key highlight of the visit was the laying of the foundation stone for a strategic grain silo in Aïn Bouchekif with a storage capacity of one million quintals, aimed at improving crop conservation. The Minister also inspected the Technical Institute for Major Crops to review regional production indicators. Furthermore, he visited a private apple farm in Aïn Bouchekif, highlighting modern irrigation infrastructure and state support for agricultural investments to bolster food security.
