The Ministry of Interior and Local Authorities has announced a budget allocation of 158.76 billion dinars under the 2027 state budget draft to grant permanent status to 155,263 beneficiaries of social integration programs. The initiative involves transitioning these individuals, along with 1,705 staff from municipal and provincial institutions, into part-time open-ended contracts. These funds also support salary adjustments mandated by 2022 presidential decrees. Additionally, the ministry has earmarked significant financing for the maintenance of primary schools, the school meal program for 6.02 million pupils, and the salaries of municipal guards, while noting budgetary deficits in several provinces resulting from the elimination of the tax on professional activity.
