The Chlef police, through its Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI), successfully dismantled three organized criminal networks involved in drug trafficking. During a series of weekend operations, nine people aged between 33 and 46, including two women, were arrested. Police seized nearly 4,000 foreign-made pregabalin capsules, alongside quantities of cocaine, processed cannabis, and cash proceeds from illicit sales. Investigations revealed that the criminal groups were smuggling substances from the southeastern provinces using public transport and sophisticated concealment techniques to bypass security checks. All suspects have been brought before the judicial authorities at the Chlef court.
