Writer Rym Khelil will attend the Algiers International Book Fair (SILA) from October 29 to November 7, 2026, to sign her new book, "Nour. Noureddine Melikechi," published by Barzakh. The book details the life of the Algerian physicist known globally for his expertise in atomic physics and laser spectroscopy, as well as his contributions to NASA's Mars exploration missions. The project originated in 2021 after Khelil interviewed the professor and felt compelled to document his exceptional journey. The writing process took three years, involving weekly video calls. Khelil leveraged her own background living in Algeria, the UK, and the US to craft the biography, which is written from the subject's perspective. The title "Nour," meaning light, reflects both the professor's scientific passion and his first name, while the text aims to inspire readers by exploring the realities of success.
