Algeria and the Netherlands establish a roadmap to boost strategic partnership by 2027
Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf and his Dutch counterpart, Tom Bruijn, have reached an agreement to develop a roadmap to deepen bilateral cooperation. The initiative, formalized during a visit to Algiers, aims to pave the way for the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties in 2027. The roadmap focuses on scheduling political consultations and economic committee sessions to define future priorities. Key sectors identified for cooperation include renewable energy, green hydrogen, agriculture, water management, and transport. Furthermore, the ministers discussed migration management based on a balanced approach, the enhancement of economic ties with the European Union, and their shared commitment to security, peace, and development in the Sahel region and Africa at large.
