FIFA has announced that five Algerian football clubs will be unable to register new players during the 2026-2027 season. The list includes CR Belouizdad, CS Constantine and MB Rouissat, all from the first division, as well as ES Berrouaghia of the second division’s Centre-West group and AS Aïn M’lila of the third division’s Eastern group.
Sanctions of this kind are imposed over outstanding debts. They may follow a club’s failure to pay money owed to a player it previously signed, after the player files a complaint with FIFA.
