UN extends Sahrawi exile exhibition following failed censorship attempt
The UN Secretariat has extended the exhibition "50 Years, 50 Faces: Sahrawi Exile – A Life of Resilience" until November 4th. The event, organized by Oxfam in New York, was temporarily dismantled following pressure from the Moroccan diplomatic mission but was swiftly reopened under UN orders. Featuring 50 photographs by Adad Ammi, the exhibition documents fifty years of the Sahrawi people's experience and aspirations. The controversy surrounding the attempted censorship has generated increased attention from diplomats and observers, following a high-level roundtable discussion on self-determination and humanitarian issues.
