Moscow hosts the third Russia-Africa summit to boost strategic ties
The third "Russia-Africa" summit opened this Wednesday in Moscow, attended by President Vladimir Putin and delegations from 48 African countries. Bringing together heads of state, officials, and approximately 4,000 business leaders, the summit focuses on expanding political, economic, and technological cooperation. Over two days, discussions will cover sovereignty, global economic systems, and innovation. The event is expected to conclude with the signing of 33 intergovernmental and commercial agreements, as well as an action plan for 2027-2029. Both sides aim to deepen ties in sectors such as energy, food security, and digital infrastructure, following a trade volume that reached 27 billion dollars in 2025.
