The African Medicines Agency has appointed Dr. Lina Ferhat, an official at the National Agency for Pharmaceutical Products, as Vice-Chair of the Technical Committee for Medical Devices and In Vitro Diagnostics. The announcement was made during the agency's inaugural week held in Kigali, Rwanda, in late October. This appointment serves as recognition of Algerian expertise in pharmaceutical regulation and strengthens the country's representation within continental technical bodies.
