Spanish authorities seize over a ton of Moroccan hashish in two operations
Spanish security forces have successfully confiscated over 1,150 kilograms of Moroccan hashish in two separate incidents. In Huelva, the Civil Guard stopped a vehicle carrying 800 kg of narcotics after a chase, seizing fake license plates and arresting the driver. Simultaneously, on the island of Fuerteventura, authorities intercepted 354 kg of cannabis being transported in an SUV after a rubber boat was spotted reaching the coast of Antigua. The driver was subsequently placed in preventive detention. These operations highlight the ongoing challenge posed by the influx of Moroccan hashish into Europe and the pervasive role of smuggling networks across the continent.
