Electronic payments: Algerian startups drive innovation to build user trust
Algerian fintech startups are spearheading digital transformation by developing electronic payment solutions designed to increase user and merchant confidence. Mourad Mechtah, CEO of 'Guidini', stated that e-payments should be embedded directly into corporate workflows rather than treated as a standalone service. His company follows national security standards in partnership with SATIM and Algérie Poste, and has supported over 500 merchants across multiple industries. Meanwhile, Nassim Choulak, founder of 'Paypart', is addressing consumer fears regarding fraud by offering a mechanism that holds funds until the customer confirms receipt of the goods. This approach aims to provide security for both parties, encourage the use of electronic payments, and gradually reduce the reliance on cash-on-delivery in the growing e-commerce sector.
