Tizi Ouzou province has secured funding for the development and equipment of a waste sorting center and a composting unit in Draa El Mizan. The project, valued at over 1.1 billion dinars, aligns with the national circular economy framework. Furthermore, a 5-hectare plot in Oued Fali has been allocated for the future construction of a waste-to-energy incineration plant. The local director of the environment noted that thirty selective sorting centers are currently active, highlighting the role of village women and the positive impact of the cleanest village competition.
