Hebron residents return home following withdrawal of occupation forces
On Monday morning, the governor of Hebron, Khaled Doudine, confirmed the withdrawal of occupation forces from the city following a ten-day military operation. Residents who had been displaced were given the green light to return, as security agencies mobilized to ensure a safe transition. As families moved back and businesses reopened, traffic congestion returned to the streets. The operation left approximately 537 families displaced and forced 317 shops and restaurants to shut down. Residents reported widespread destruction and theft within their homes after the military inspection. Local authorities have issued strict safety warnings, urging citizens to avoid touching suspicious objects, unexploded ordnance, or debris. They also advised residents to have damaged structures inspected by professionals before entering and to cooperate with civil defense and bomb disposal teams.
