The CAF Confederation Cup group stage draw has placed defending champions USM Alger in Group D, alongside Tunisia's CS Sfaxien, Mozambique's Black Bulls, and Mali's Real Bamako. The clash against CS Sfaxien, a three-time champion of the tournament, stands out as the marquee fixture for the Algerian side. Meanwhile, should CR Belouizdad successfully navigate the second preliminary round, they will join Group C, which features Maniema from Congo, Singida Black Stars from Tanzania, and Red Arrows from Zambia.
