At the 8th Gas Exporting Countries Forum summit in Moscow, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in a message delivered by Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui, emphasized that natural gas is a cornerstone of global economic stability. The President stressed the importance of stable regulatory frameworks and long-term contracts to ensure energy security and protect investments. He advocated for a fair energy transition, describing gas as a strategic partner to renewable energy. Algeria also highlighted its major energy initiatives, such as the Trans-Saharan gas pipeline and its hydrogen development plans, while urging forum members to strengthen cooperation to maintain market stability amidst current geopolitical challenges.
