CR Belouizdad head coach Nabil Maaloul has unexpectedly announced his resignation. The decision follows a 2-2 draw against USM Alger during the 7th round of the professional championship. The match was overshadowed by significant refereeing controversy, with four penalties awarded in total—three for USMA—while the Chabab players expressed frustration over a penalty they felt they were denied. In his post-match comments, Maaloul praised his squad's effort despite the disappointing result. After thanking the club's management and supporters, the Tunisian coach stated that he could no longer continue in his position, effectively ending his tenure which had begun last summer.
