Spain Seizes Tons of Cannabis and Dismantles Drug Trafficking Support Network
Spanish security forces, in collaboration with Portuguese counterparts, seized over 5 tons of Moroccan cannabis following a chase on the Guadiana River. In a separate operation dubbed "Galin," the Civil Guard dismantled a criminal network in Cadix and Malaga responsible for providing logistical support to drug smugglers. Thirteen people were arrested, and authorities confiscated 30,000 liters of fuel, multiple vehicles, and cash. These operations highlight the ongoing role of Morocco as a primary source for illicit drug trafficking into Europe, with Spain serving as the main entry point.
