Moscow: Arkab reaffirms Algeria's commitment to global gas market stability
During the 28th ministerial meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Moscow, Minister of State Mohamed Arkab reiterated Algeria's dedication to strengthening international cooperation in the gas industry. Arkab emphasized the importance of state sovereignty over natural resources and the right of each nation to select its own energy pathway. The meeting focuses on global energy security, market stability, and balancing the interests of producers and consumers amidst climate transition challenges. Participants are reviewing long-term market outlooks and tracking the implementation of the 2024 'Algiers Declaration.' This session serves as a precursor to the 8th GECF Heads of State Summit, bringing together nations that control a significant portion of global gas reserves and exports.
