Tensions flared between MC Alger captain Ayoub Abdellaoui and midfielder Mohamed Zougrana following their match against JS Timouchent. The conflict arose after Abdellaoui blamed Zougrana for a defensive error that nearly led to an equalizer. Zougrana, frustrated by his captain's constant criticism, refused to join his teammates in greeting the fans after the whistle. Coach Khaled Ben Yahia declined to intervene, downplaying the significance of the post-match dispute. Meanwhile, the club is facing uncertainty regarding the contract renewals of Reda Halaïmia and Zakaria Naidji, as the team prepares for an upcoming away match against ASO Chlef.
