Water Security: Strategic projects launched in 4 provinces for the 72nd anniversary of the Revolution

Marking the 72nd anniversary of the Revolution, Minister of Water Resources Lounes Bouzegza launched several major strategic projects on Monday, November 2, 2026. These initiatives, aligned with presidential directives, are designed to improve national water security and infrastructure. Key operations include linking the Tlemcen region to desalination plants, transferring water from the Tabellout dam to Sétif, connecting eastern Blida to the Fouka 2 desalination facility, and constructing a 250 km water supply pipeline from the Tanezrouft aquifer to provide drinking water to the Tin Zaouatine area in In Guezzam.
