During a session chaired by the Prime Minister, the government evaluated the logistical arrangements for the upcoming November 28 local elections, following the conclusion of the candidate filing period. High priority was given to the ongoing implementation of rail projects connecting Laghouat, El Meniaa, In Salah, and Tamanrasset, aiming for completion by the end of 2028 in accordance with presidential directives. The meeting also addressed the draft budget settlement bill for 2024, a national mechanism for monitoring methane emissions to meet environmental commitments, and strategies to expand healthcare infrastructure across the nation.
