Algeria has announced a major investment plan worth 22 billion euros over the next decade to advance its renewable energy transition. Speaking at the Gas Exporting Countries Forum in Moscow through a message delivered by Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune highlighted the nation's commitment to producing 15,000 megawatts of clean energy. The strategy focuses on reducing industrial carbon footprints and methane emissions. Furthermore, Algeria aims to become a key player in the hydrogen market by developing the "SoutH2 Corridor" with European partners and Tunisia, reinforcing its status as a major intercontinental energy hub.
