Smuggling network dismantled in Ouargla with over 5,000 mobile phones seized
Security forces in Ouargla have dismantled an organized criminal network, resulting in the arrest of four suspects and the seizure of 5,031 smuggled mobile phones. The total market value of the seized goods is estimated at nearly 9 billion centimes. The operation followed precise intelligence reports regarding an attempt to transport smuggled items from the south to the northern provinces using a utility vehicle. The Search and Intervention Brigade (BRI) intercepted the vehicle and found the phones concealed within large cardboard boxes. Following a thorough investigation, all suspects were presented before the public prosecutor at the Ouargla court.
