Tipaza: Temporary Highway Closure Toward Algiers for Roadwork
The authorities of Tipaza Province have announced a temporary suspension of traffic on the highway segment connecting the Bou Ismaïl tunnel to the Algiers province border, heading toward the capital. The closure is scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, to facilitate the installation of an asphalt concrete surface as part of the modernization project between Bou Ismaïl and Douaouda. To manage traffic flow during these works, four alternative routes have been designated, utilizing the Republican Guard interchange in Khemisti, the CW 126 road, the new 'Chayek' bypass, and the path near the UDES solar power plant, eventually connecting back to the highway via the Colonel Abbas interchange.
