Western Sahara refugees hold major protests for self-determination
Large-scale popular demonstrations have taken place across Sahrawi refugee camps, with participants reaffirming their commitment to the right of self-determination. Protesters carried Sahrawi flags and voiced their opposition to any proposals that ignore international legality or decolonization principles. The demonstrators emphasized that any resolution to the Western Sahara conflict must prioritize the free will of the Sahrawi people in their pursuit of independence. This unified national stance is scheduled to continue with further events in the camps of Boujdour, Smara, and Dakhla, concluding in Aousserd.
