Constantine: Maintenance work begins on the East-West Highway

Marking the 72nd anniversary of the start of the Liberation Revolution, authorities in Constantine launched renovation works on a segment of the East-West Highway between Aïn Smara and Zouaghi Slimane. Spanning 15.33 kilometers, the project focuses on stabilizing slopes at two specific points to prevent landslides. Technical solutions involve using geotextile-reinforced retaining walls, constructing reinforced concrete structures, and upgrading rainwater drainage systems. The initiative is designed to improve road safety for motorists and ensure the long-term durability of the highway network.
