Criminal network dismantled for draining public funds through fake companies
The investigative judge at the specialized penal pole of Sidi M'hamed has ordered the detention of 16 individuals linked to a criminal network involved in creating phantom companies. Investigations by the Central Service for Combating Organized Crime in Saoula uncovered the misuse of over 400 fraudulent commercial records for money laundering and tax evasion. These operations resulted in massive financial losses for the public treasury, exceeding 9200 billion centimes. While 16 suspects were remanded in custody, 9 others were placed under judicial supervision. Security forces also seized vehicles, trucks, seals, and administrative documents used in these illegal activities.
