French Visa: New Access Requirements and Appeal Guidelines
Capago Algeria, the official service provider for French visa applications, has mandated that all applicants must present their appointment confirmation, featuring a clear QR code, to enter any of its centers in Algiers, Oran, Annaba, or Constantine. The confirmation can be shown in either digital or printed format. Additionally, applicants who receive a visa refusal have a 30-day window to file an administrative appeal. Short-stay visa appeals must be directed to the Ministry of the Interior, whereas long-stay visa appeals are handled by the appeal commission in Nantes. Submissions must be made via registered mail in French. If the administration does not respond within two months, the appeal is deemed rejected, allowing the applicant to take the case to the Nantes Administrative Court.
