From October 31 to November 4, 2026, Béjaïa will host the 16th edition of the local cultural festival dedicated to Kabyle music and song. Organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Arts, the festival will feature around 50 performers. This year's theme, "Today's creation, tomorrow's heritage," includes a tribute to singer Djida Arab, also known as "Ldjida Temechtouht." Festival commissioner Yazid Abdi confirmed that performances will take place at the House of Culture and in surrounding municipalities including El Kseur and Aouzellaguen. The event will also host the final of the Kabyle song competition on November 1st, coinciding with the anniversary of the outbreak of the National Liberation Revolution. The program also highlights educational masterclasses and expert discussions regarding the impact of artificial intelligence on the music industry.
