Stellantis aims to increase the production capacity of its Tafraoui plant in Oran to 135,000 vehicles annually by 2028. The facility is set to locally manufacture the 'Fiat Grande Panda' using the complete knockdown (CKD) system, which involves full welding and painting processes. The manufacturer intends to push local integration to over 30% by 2026. Production figures have grown from 17,000 in 2024 to 53,000 in 2025, with a target of 90,000 units for 2026. These developments were discussed during a visit by Italian Ambassador Alessandra Schiavo. Since its inauguration in 2023, the plant has employed 2,500 workers and serves as a key strategic hub for the group's expansion into North Africa.
