General Saïd Chanegriha warns of 'hybrid warfare' threats against Algeria
Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, General Saïd Chanegriha, announced that Algeria has successfully thwarted multiple hostile plans aimed at undermining its national unity. During a national seminar focused on the role of media in addressing hybrid warfare, the General highlighted that these modern threats leverage information technology to compromise state security and social cohesion. He identified tactics such as cyberattacks, disinformation campaigns, and the distortion of events as primary tools used to target the nation's achievements under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Chanegriha urged media professionals to adopt a proactive approach, emphasizing the need for a solid national narrative and improved mechanisms to detect and debunk misinformation. He credited this preventive strategy for the country’s ability to remain resilient against attempts to disrupt its stability.
