To mark the 72nd anniversary of the start of the Liberation War, Oran's Wali, Brahim Ouchene, led a series of project launches and inaugurations throughout the region. Key developments include the opening of multiple new school canteens in communes such as Es-Senia and Sidi Maârouf, which will provide over 600 hot meals daily. Sports infrastructure projects were also initiated, featuring a 500-seat sports hall in El Kerma, a local swimming pool in Tafraoui, and a sports facility in Oued Tlelat. Additionally, construction has begun on several middle schools in Sidi Chahmi and the Es Sabah neighborhood of Bir El Djir, with completion expected within eight months to support the upcoming academic year.
