Employees in both the public and private sectors across Algeria will observe a paid holiday this coming Sunday, November 1st, 2026. According to a joint statement from the Ministry of Labour and the General Directorate of Civil Service, this day commemorates the 72nd anniversary of the start of the Liberation Revolution. The holiday, mandated by national legislation on official festivities, covers all categories of staff, including daily and hourly wage earners. Companies operating on a shift system are required to arrange for service continuity during this period.
