Finance Bill Updates: Property Regularization and Incentives for the Diaspora
The deadline for regularizing unfinished building constructions has been extended by one year, now set for December 31, 2027, to assist owners in completing necessary legal procedures. Recent amendments to the finance bill include a requirement that any future increases in fuel prices must be approved by Parliament. New measures also aim to facilitate the permanent return of the diaspora, allowing them to import professional equipment duty-free, provided they meet specific residency and business history requirements, with a five-year restriction on reselling said equipment. Additionally, a 500-dinar fee will be introduced for the remote renewal of biometric passports to support the costs associated with digital payment services.
