Scientific analyses reveal source of transboundary water pollution
Scientific test results from the "zero point" on the Algeria-Morocco border have identified high levels of pollution in the water feeding the Hammam Boughrara dam and the Mouilah wadi. Laboratory analysis conducted between March and September showed contamination levels, particularly regarding ammonium, that significantly exceed established environmental quality standards. These documented findings, presented at an international conference on the protection of transboundary waterways attended by experts from 35 nations, refute claims made by Moroccan propaganda outlets. The data confirms that the pollution originates from the Moroccan side, as the samples were taken from a location devoid of Algerian industrial or domestic activity, grounding the Algerian position in verifiable scientific evidence.
