Moroccan Parliament meeting labeled a "political farce"

An Algerian media report has described the upcoming joint session of the two Moroccan parliamentary chambers, focused on the Western Sahara issue, as a "political farce." The analysis suggests that the move is an attempt to replicate a recent Algerian parliamentary session in order to project an image of democracy. The report links this development to recent events at the UN Security Council, claiming that the initiative is intended to distract the Moroccan public from what it describes as a diplomatic setback on the international stage. It concludes by asserting that real political decision-making remains solely in the hands of the monarchy, dismissing the parliamentary meeting as lacking substantive democratic authority.
