Algeria's Ministry of Commerce implements measures to secure market supply for Ramadan
Minister of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation, Amel Abdellatif, held a coordination meeting with sugar and vegetable oil producers to discuss proactive measures for ensuring stable supply chains throughout the upcoming month of Ramadan. The Minister emphasized the importance of collaboration among economic actors to maintain market stability. Additionally, the Ministry officially launched the "Tawassoul - Consumer Voice" digital platform, enabling the public to report price-related irregularities and supply disruptions. These initiatives follow presidential directives to establish a daily monitoring mechanism for basic goods. Furthermore, the Ministry reaffirmed that all economic operators are strictly required to display their prices, warning that failure to comply will result in legal action, including fines and administrative closure of businesses.
