During the celebration of Algerian Diplomacy Day, marking the 81st anniversary of the UN, Minister of State Ahmed Attaf criticized attempts to strip the Sahrawi issue of its status as a decolonization matter. He emphasized that the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination must be upheld to ensure a just and lasting political solution. Regarding the Palestinian cause, Attaf reaffirmed Algeria’s unwavering support for the establishment of an independent state with Al-Quds as its capital, calling for an end to the violence in Gaza and the West Bank. The minister also voiced Algeria’s solidarity with Lebanon, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, and Yemen, calling for the preservation of their sovereignty and rejecting foreign interference in their internal conflicts.
