Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb, representing President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, attended the 8th Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Summit in Moscow, chaired by Vladimir Putin. In his address, the President highlighted Algeria's role as a major gas producer and key supplier to Europe, emphasizing the importance of long-term investment and supply security. President Tebboune advocated for a fair and progressive energy transition, positioning natural gas as a critical partner for renewable energy to ensure grid stability. He also underscored Algeria's commitment to massive renewable projects and the trans-Saharan gas pipeline to combat energy poverty in Africa.
