Technical blunder during live stream costs creator $12,000
American content creator Nicholas Fosco, known as "Lacy," suffered a major financial setback while streaming from a restaurant in Japan. During a live broadcast with his girlfriend, he inadvertently displayed the restaurant's QR code used for ordering food at the table. Viewers quickly exploited the code to access the electronic ordering system, placing numerous large orders for food and drinks. The creator was shocked when staff began delivering massive amounts of items to his table. The total bill reached approximately 1.6 million Japanese yen, equivalent to about $12,000, serving as a stark example of the dangers of sharing environmental details during live broadcasts.
