This benefit is available to all individuals with tax residency in France, regardless of nationality, provided they meet specific income and mileage requirements. The income threshold has been increased to €22,770 per tax share. To qualify, applicants must be at least 16 years old, drive a gasoline or non-rechargeable hybrid vehicle, and either travel more than 15 km to work or cover over 8,000 km annually for professional purposes. Previous recipients receive the payment automatically, whereas new applicants can apply via the official government tax portal starting October 27, 2026. Authorities have issued a warning against scams, emphasizing that the application process is strictly managed through the official public finance website.
