Boosting Economic Ties: Algeria and the Czech Republic Eye New Cooperation
During the Algeria-Czech Business Forum co-chaired with his counterpart Andrej Babis, Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb called for identifying new avenues for economic cooperation. He emphasized that the current phase requires more joint efforts to foster sustainable investments and elevate bilateral relations. The Prime Minister noted that the frequent interaction between business leaders highlights the commitment of both governments to revitalize their partnership by leveraging their respective economic strengths. Regarding trade performance, he welcomed the growth in bilateral exchanges, which rose from approximately $139 million in 2024 to nearly $323 million in 2025. However, he maintained that these results, while positive, remain below the true potential and shared aspirations of both countries.
