Local Elections: ANIE Conducts Training for Polling Station Officials
Ahead of the local elections scheduled for November 28, the head of the National Independent Authority for Elections (ANIE), Saad Arous, chaired a training session focused on managing polling stations and centers. The event, held via videoconference, involved ANIE members, provincial and municipal coordinators, and IT specialists across the country. This initiative aims to enhance the technical and operational readiness for the upcoming vote. Arous highlighted the critical importance of selecting polling station staff based on competence, integrity, and neutrality. He emphasized strict adherence to legal provisions, specifically those preventing conflicts of interest and familial ties with candidates, to ensure a transparent and legally compliant electoral process.
