A drone strike on a marketplace in Nyala, the capital of South Darfur, left 21 people dead and 40 wounded on Monday, medical sources reported. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the Rapid Support Forces launched drone attacks on the Al-Markhiyat power station west of Omdurman, disrupting electricity supply across the Khartoum and Al-Jazirah states. This follows similar assaults the previous day that hit five other power stations, cutting off electricity to four states in central and eastern Sudan. The ongoing conflict between the Sudanese army and the paramilitaries, which began in April 2023, has resulted in tens of thousands of deaths and the displacement of approximately 13 million people.
