Former Algeria coach Vladimir Petkovic linked to Udinese managerial role
Italian club Udinese is considering a coaching change following poor performances, highlighted by a heavy 5-2 defeat against AS Roma, which has left current boss Kosta Runjaic in a precarious position. Vladimir Petkovic, the former manager of the Algerian national team, has emerged as a potential candidate for the vacancy. The Udinese board is weighing his prior experience in Serie A, specifically his successful tenure at Lazio from 2012 to 2014, during which he won the Coppa Italia. Furthermore, his international track record with the Swiss national team, including reaching the Euro 2020 quarter-finals, is considered a significant asset. As Petkovic has been without a club since leaving his post with the Algerian national team last August, he is being evaluated alongside other candidates such as Paolo Zanetti and Davide Ballardini, as the club aims to find a replacement before their upcoming fixture against Venezia.
