Security forces in Birtouta have arrested an individual involved in a series of robberies targeting delivery workers. The suspect would place online orders for laptops to lure victims to a specific location, where he would then threaten them with a large knife and a wooden club to steal the items. Following multiple formal complaints, police launched an investigation, identified the perpetrator, and successfully apprehended him. A search of his home led to the recovery of the weapons used in the assaults. The suspect has been presented to the public prosecutor at the court of Boufarik to face charges of theft under threat.
